Nike Basketball 2010 Christmas Day

Like a lion on the hunt, the LEBRON 8 V/2 is designed to be leaner and lighter, and to reflect LeBron’s evolving physical condition as he goes into the critical second half of the season. At a full 1 oz lighter than the first LEBRON 8, the V/2 is the first Nike Basketball shoe with an upper made entirely of Flywire technology with lightweight mesh in key areas, delivering LeBron the support he needs to overcome his opponents. The LEBRON 8 V/2 Christmas Day shoe launches on December 26, 2010.

Nike Zoom KD III is designed with specific insights from basketball star Kevin Durant. KD wanted his signature performance shoe to be accessible to everyone. The designer of the shoe found innovative ways to incorporate story telling design details to offer a true signature experience at an accessible price point. Inspired by his annual Christmas Day game, this year vs. Miami, the Nike Zoom Kobe VI was designed in green with red laces. This performance basketball shoe was inspired by Bryant’s on-court alter ego, the Black Mamba and draws its cues from the fearsome snake. The Zoom Kobe VI incorporates key performance elements in a low-profile shoe that weighs just 10.6 ounces (men’s US size 9) making it one of Nike’s lightest basketball shoes. Kobe also wanted his shoe to provide a couture fit so designers had to find a way to provide a custom fit for the masses. To provide a custom fit, the Kobe VI features a Dual Density sockliner that molds to the shape of your foot as you wear the shoe. It wraps up higher than most sockliners to cup the foot for a better fit and feel. The sockliner works in tandem with the heel counter to provide a tighter, more comfortable fit in the heel. The Nike Zoom Kobe VI launches in retail stores and online December 26, 2010.
