Shop Future

On Friday, June 4th, Sean John will open the doors to their second sustainable and earth friendly pop-up store in Los Angeles, CA. This store, made of recycled wood and metal, is just one of the many projects from Sean John focusing on the future and the brand’s perception of it. Sean John is reusing many of the same fixtures that were used in the first Miami pop up store, all composed of the packaging materials that transported goods to Los Angeles, eliminating all shipping waste. Sean John in collaboration with Eastern District Gallery will again present an installation of sustainable furniture and art by Jason Horvath and Aakash Nihalani in the newly designed 2,800 square foot space. The store is located in L.A.’s trendy shopping district, 8570 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA, and will house Sean John’s spring/summer and early fall 2010 collections of sportswear along with sunglasses, fragrance and a specially designed selvedge denim and knit capsule collection only available at the SHOP FUTURE pop up shop.

Nice Hat

The Ferdora
The fedora was popular from 1920's to 1960's, mostly in east coast cities for its stylishness, ability to protect the wearer's head from the wind and weather, and the fact that it could be rolled up when not in use. Since the early part of the 20th century, many Haredi, and Orthodox Jews have worn black fedoras and continue to this day. The hat is sometimes associated with Prohibition, Great Depression-era gangsters and the detectives who sought to bring them to justice.
